Projects
The Distributed Data Curation Center actively engages in projects that address the variety of challenges related to the organization, curation, discovery, access and preservation of research data. The scope of projects typically span across multiple areas including:- Data management, such as designing models and workflows to better enable access, curation, and preservation of data.
- Discovery and dissemination of data, such as developing ways to publish and cite data sets, as well as enabling their re-use and interoperability with other data.
- Data description and structure, such as identifying and applying appropriate metadata standards and ontologies to data sets.
- Social aspects, such as creating community based curation profiles and policies to define appropriate access to and use of the data.
- Technology, such as designing data repository frameworks and creating software tools to add value and functionality to data sets.
